Harry Edwin Fraser, of Lenoir City, formerly of Sparta, passed away April 9, 2025, at the age of 90.
He was born June 29, 1934, in Sparta. He was born in the same room of the old farmhouse that his mother, Inez Anderson, and grandmother, Emma Anderson, were born.
Harry was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and an elder. Harry graduated in 1967 from The University of Tennessee in the College of Electrical Engineering.
He was a veteran of the United States Army (Korea). He was a 50-year member of Avery Lodge #593 Lenoir City F&AM Scottish Rite Body of Knoxville, Kerbela Shrine Knoxville, and American Legion Post #70 Lenoir City, and he was a Kentucky Colonel and Tennessee Colonel. He retired as general manager and electrical engineer from the Lenoir City Utilities Board (1996), and Harry was a registered Land Surveyor TN No-1158.
Harry was preceded in death by wife, Barbara Rogers Fraser; parents, Albert V. Fraser and Inez Anderson Fraser; son-in-law, Richard Hagan; sister, Doris Jean Moore and husband Robert Moore; mother and father-in-law, Irene and Leo Rogers; brother-in-law, Edward Rogers and wife Billie; brother-in-law, Kenneth Rogers; sister-in-law, Martha Ann Rogers; and brother-in-law, Bill Lollar.
He is survived by beloved daughter, Cynthia Fraser Hagan, of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Katheleen Lollar, of Ooltewah; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends gathered at 1 p.m. (CST), April 15, 2025, at Old Union Cemetery, in White County (Sparta), for graveside services. The Rev. Don McMillan officiated.
