Hassie “Marie” Lollar Wallace, 95, was born Oct. 14, 1925, the daughter of Martha Green Lollar and Luther Harmon Lollar.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Powell Wallace, who had resided in Hendersonville; three sisters, Gertrude Floyd, who had resided in Sparta, Beatrice Sullivan, who had resided in Joelton, Hazel Burch, who had resided in Nashville; and two brothers, James Clifford Lollar, who had resided in Cookeville, and Luther Staley Lollar, who had resided in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Mrs. Wallace is survived by two children, Edna (Thomas) Craighead, of Hendersonville, James (Jamie) Wallace, of Gallatin; four grandchildren, Chad Wallace, of Dallas, Texas, Jordan (Laura) Wallace, of Gallatin, Jamie Marie Craighead, of Hendersonville, Joseph Craighead, of Hendersonville; three great-grandchildren, Preston Wallace, Leila Wallace, Jackson Anders, all of Gallatin; and sisters-in-law, Faye Carver Wallace and Willie Ruth Wallace Garvin.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., July 21, 2021, at Thurman Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Cemetery. Bro. Doug Benningfield will officiate. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., July 20, at the funeral home.
