Iva Edna Dobson, 91, of Sparta, passed away Aug. 11, 2020, in Sparta.
Mrs. Dobson was born March 23, 1929, in Hudgins, Kentucky, to Dick and Beatrice Parker.
She loved cooking, and everyone enjoyed her cooking and sweet tea. She was a member of Bear Cove Baptist Church since she moved to Sparta, in 1969.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dobson was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Cosby Dobson, and daughter-in-law, Sandy Dobson.
Survivors include her sons, Cosby Dale Dobson, of Sparta, Kenny Wade Dobson, of Sparta; grandchildren, Lashay Dobson, of Sparta, Kendal Wade Dobson, of Sparta; great-grandchildren, Hunter Pope, Braxton Dobson, Lennox Dobson, Oakley Dobson; and many friends, neighbors, and other family members.
Pallbearers include Steve Page, Alan Hale, Royce Young, Alan Kirby, Paul Sherrell, and Bob Kelsey.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Aug. 13, 2020, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Aug. 13, at the funeral home. The Rev. Steve Scaggs will officiate.
