James Douglas "Doug" Robinson, 70, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, and a native of White County, passed away March 31, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center, in Dalton, Georgia.

Mr. Robinson was born April 12, 1950, in Sparta, to William Savage "Bill" Robinson and Vera Mae Luna Robinson.

He worked in the maintenance department for Shaw Carpet as a parts expeditor.  Mr. Robinson was a hard worker and was proud to provide for his family with his work. When he was not working and wanted to relax, he was fishing or watching wrestling. Above all else, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Robinson, Hebron Robinson, David Robinson; and a sister, Ruby Robinson Holman.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Naomi Lawson Robinson; children, Gregory Douglas Robinson, Jason Matthew Robinson and wife Megan, Cheryl Rene Robinson Abrams; grandchildren, McKenzie Leigh Morgan, Ethan Alexander Abrams, Savannah Grace Abrams, Aiden Dulaney Robinson, Adelaide Dillard Robinson; two sisters, Rozell "Rose" Briggs, Thelma Spears; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., April 3, 2021, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Young Cemetery. Eugene Lawson will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m., April 3, at the funeral home.
