Joel Glenn Brock, 70, of Doyle, passed away Jan. 7, 2021, at his residence, following an extended illness.

Mr. Brock was born Dec. 21, 1950, the son of Earl David Brock and Lilliam Dorothy Craig Brock.

He was a United States Air Force veteran of Vietnam, former welder at Dezurik for 22 years, and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty McCoy; brother, Elbert Lee McGuire; and stepson, Seth Guy.

Survivors include two children, Michael (Nandra) Brock, of Spencer, Casey (Ryan) Ginder, of Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; companion, Mary K. Guy, of Doyle; three stepchildren, Bobby (Brandy) Grissom, of Spencer, Bridget Evans (Shannon Jenkins), of Doyle, Nakisha (John) Judkins, of Doyle; nine step-grandchildren; four siblings, Margie Carter, of McMinnville, Earl (Roberta) Brock, of Doyle, Donzetta Brock Morris, of McMinnville, Sammy (Lesa) Brock, of McMinnville; many nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Jayne Cope, of Spencer.

Funeral service will be p.m., Jan. 10, 2021, at High Funeral Home, in McMinnville, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, in White County. Darrell Nance will officiate. Graveside military rites will be administered by VWF Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173 Honor Guard. 

High Funeral Home, in McMinnville, is in charge of arrangements.
