John David “J.D.” White, 86, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 14, 2023, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.
J.D. was born Dec. 18, 1936, in Sparta, to Theodore Roosevelt “T.R.” and Ova Lee Lawson White.
He was a lifelong farmer and veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara White; and sisters, Maggie Skipper and Ruby Frances White.
J.D. is survived by his son, Bruce White and wife Sandy, of Spencer; grandson, David Bruce White Jr., of Franklin, Ohio; granddaughter, Miranda White, of Spencer; and great-grandson, Waylon White, of Spencer
J.D.’s wishes of cremation and a private burial at Frasier’s Chapel are being honored, with services entrusted to Hunter Funeral Home.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
