John Edward Wallace, 72, of Sparta, passed away peacefully from this life at his home, on Aug. 2, 2022, with his wife and daughter at his side.
John was born Dec. 24, 1949, in Northville, Michigan. He was the son of William Wallace and Bessie Riddle Wallace.
He was very proud of his military service. John served in the United States Army, 1968-1970, in Vietnam.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sons, John Michael and Nathan Troy.
Survivors include his wife, Joni Choate Wallace, of Sparta; daughter, Holli Chandler and special partner Patty Anderson, of Cookeville; brother, Steve Wallace and wife, of Marion, Ohio; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Aug. 5, 2022, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Tom McCulley will officiate. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Aug. 4, at the funeral home.
