JROTC Cadets of the Month

Posted

Each month, White County High School’s JROTC chooses two cadets who have had exemplary service over the past 30 days and honors each one with the title of “Cadet of the Month.”

On Nov. 30, 2002, the WCHS JROTC conducted its Cadet of the Month board. November’s winners are for first-year cadet, Cadet Private First Class Christian Dowdy, and second-year cadet, Cadet Sergeant First Class Elijah Price.

Cadet Dowdy is a squad member in Bravo Company. As a member of the JROTC Raider Team, he participated in his first competition, in October. Additionally, Cadet Dowdy recently joined the JROTC Color Guard and is working diligently to learn the routine so he can participate in one of the many Color Guard events. Cadet Dowdy strives hard in his efforts and embraces everything JROTC has to offer.

Cadet Price serves as a Platoon Sergeant in Bravo Company, is on the JROTC Rifle Marksmanship Team and an active member of the JROTC Color Guard.

“Both of these Cadets are some of the best the WCHS JROTC has to offer,” Lt. Col. Aaron Johnson said about the board’s selections. “Congratulations, Cadets!”
