Funeral services for Justin Clarence Tays, 39, of Cookeville, will be noon, on June 5, at Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church. The Rev. Maston Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Bohannon Cemetery, in the Calfkiller community.

Justin's family will receive friends 5 - 8 p.m., June 4, and 11 a.m.- noon, June 5, both days at the church.

Justin passed away suddenly, on May 31, 2021, at his home.

He was born Sept. 26, 1981, to Clarence Tays Jr. and Charlotte Stafford Tays, of Cookeville.

Justin graduated from Cookeville High School, in 2000, where he was a member of the CHS football team. He was an avid collector of low riders and classic cars. He co-owned and operated American Roof and Construction and was a member of Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church. Justin was an exceptionally loving father and husband, who naturally connected with others and easily established lifelong friendships. His caring way impacted everyone.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence Tays Sr. and Gladys Tays Hall, who had resided in Monterey, and Lando and Ruby Stafford, who had resided in Sparta.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Michelle    Nicole Montserrat Tays; two sons, Ezra Timothy Tays, Anson Clarence Tays; father-in-law, Eduardo Montserrat (Karelia Ruiz), of Miami, Florida; mother-in-law, Monica Solano; of Cookeville; brother, Sam (Beth) Tays; of Cookeville; two brothers-in-law, Alan Monsterrat, Eddie Monsterrat, of Miami, Florida; special cousins, Greg (Donna) Hutson, Elizabeth Dodson, all of Sparta; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home, in Cookeville, is in charge of arrangements.
