Destinie Keith is a senior at White County High School who understands the value of hard work.
Faculty members describe Keith, who is enrolled in the high school’s criminal justice program of study, as a natural leader and someone who sets goals and knows what it takes to achieve them.
“Destinie is a leader and a role model for her peers,” criminal justice teacher Jerrica Demps said. “She is hardworking and dedicated to anything she sets out to achieve.”
Another faculty member, Ken Craig, whose math class Keith is a member of, also spoke about her dedication to her schoolwork and what sets her apart from other students.
“Destinie has worked exceptionally hard at her SAILS Math assignments this semester. On Sept. 20th, Destinie was the first SAILS Math student to complete the course requirements,” Craig said. “Her completion date was the earliest I have ever had in all the years I have taught SAILS Math.”
Keith is both the secretary and the treasurer for the school’s Skills USA Club and has earned an OSHA 10 certification through classes she has taken while in high school. In addition to striving to be successful in school, Keith has works at Yanni’s Grille, a Sparta restaurant, where she puts hours in after school and on weekends – the perfect job for the WCHS senior who said the thing she enjoys most is being able to socialize with a variety of people.
