Landfill is operational despite rumors to the contrary

From Denny Wayne Robinson, White County executive:

As of today (Aug 1, 2022), we are evaluating and repairing issues at the White County Landfill Class I cell. Class I is considered household garbage. We are working as best we can to extend the life of our current cell as much as possible. Temporary measures have been put into place while we research solutions. These measures should not inconvenience the public in any way. I want to emphasize that these are self-imposed measures, and the White County Landfill has not been shut down by any regulatory authority.

Again, I want to stress “all White County Citizens can dispose of their Solid Waste as you always have.”

Any rumors to the contrary are totally false.
