Linda Trobaugh Bandy, daughter of Pruitte and Lona Trobaugh, was born Oct. 3, 1943, in Baxter, Tennessee, the youngest of three. She passed from this beautiful Earth God created, on April 7, 2022, at her home, at the age of 78.  

Linda could be called a woman of service. She was one of a kind, a loving mother, a Christian, and a true giving and loving friend. During her life here, she taught school for 45 years. She coached softball, girls’ basketball, cheerleading, and was an annual sponsor. She taught Bible class at Findlay Church of Christ as well. She chaperoned many trips, took her 6th grade class to Red Stone Space Center, in Alabama, and took the White County High School Band to compete in Florida and Washington D.C.

 She loved being involved with people and friends. She treated everyone alike, rich or poor. To her, her students were her children. She was a lifetime member of Findlay Church of Christ. She will be remembered and missed by many former students, co-workers, cousins, friends, and her church family. She will be especially missed by her daughter, Nicole, grandson, Ashten, and fur babies, Jake and Duke.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, JoAnn Passons (David) and Nancy Stanford (John), and sons-in-law, Jamie Spivey and Bobby Hensley Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Bandy Hensley, of Sparta; grandson, Ashten Hensley, of Sparta; niece, Maureen Caudle (Matt), of Benton, Louisiana; great-niece, Katie; great-nephew, John Owen; and special friends, Linda Tolbert and Mary Tomey.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., April 15, 2022, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Charles Tolbert and Dwight Fuqua will officiate. The family will welcome friends 4-8 p.m., April 15, at the funeral home.
