Lost in all of the headlines

 It’s a sad world we inhabit. The overwhelmingly popular Joe Biden, must cut the size of his swearing-in program because those evil Republicans might cause trouble. Does anyone believe that? I guess the overheated, paranoid, MSNBC-believing lunatic of the left does, but what normal person does?

First of all, the inauguration is on a weekday. Everybody knows their local Republicans will be at work that day! And besides, if Joe’s such an overwhelmingly popular guy, what does it matter if a few protestors show up here or there to mumble some silly chants? The point to showing all the military in the capital is to underline how dangerous these hardworking -  I mean desperate - Republicans really are! Please realize, Joe has more armed security than either of the wars we have going on right now. Obviously that is stupidly overdone! My personal opinion is that there will be very few of his “supporters” show up to watch him, and having the military there helps hide that lack of interest as well.  Have you heard? The ANTIFA member that was caught in the crowd at the break-in of the capitol has been released – no bond required! How nice for him! I guess when the incoming vice president and their staff were raising bail in the millions for their release and other ANTIFA members, it was all okay?

While Joe has been in the basement hiding from the news, much of the sports world has started to revolt against competitors that claim to identify as women to take advantage of their superior muscle mass to crush biologically created females in all area of sports. Nonetheless, clueless Joe has promised transgender rights in sports and bathrooms! Ole Clueless there seems to think this sort of thing is the most important use of a newly-minted president’s time. Stay tuned! Joe will probably focus the first few days of his administration on equally important “work.”

Ocasio-Cortez is busy making a fool of herself as usual. Whining that she felt “unsafe” because there were also members of the Republican Party in the room Congress sheltered in. Of course, she didn’t leave there! Never one to stop fighting against our freedoms listen to this quote from AOC concerning censoring the free press: “What I can say is that there’s absolutely a commission that’s being discussed, but it seems to be more investigatory in style rather than truth and reconciliation, and so I think that’s an interesting concept for us to explore,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “And I do think that several members of Congress in some of my discussions have brought up media literacy because that is a part of what happened here, and we’re going to have to figure out how we rein in our media environment so that you can’t just spew disinformation and misinformation.”  She added, “It’s one thing to have differing opinions, but it’s another thing entirely to just say things that are false, and so that’s something that we’re looking into.”

So, don’t be surprised if you hear more about programs to censor what little independent press remains in this country. It will be styled in the manner the questioner of AOC suggested, a “Truth and Reconciliation” action that just makes it untrue to say things like President Trump’s second term was stolen from him. Remember just a year or two ago when progressives were talking about “your truth?” Well they have now found the truth, and you’d better be finding it as well ! These Democrats are going to try and censor their critics in ways just a few decades ago that would have found them hounded from office! It is just another measure of how far we have fallen from the founders’ vision of individual freedom and liberty.

You know a while back I was talking with a liberal friend, and I mentioned what a large number of ignorant things the congresswoman had said. He replied that he hadn’t heard any himself. And it made me realize, the liberal members of our society are completely uninformed when it comes to the antics of politicians they support. Because most liberals now listen to television shows from the notoriously liberal and inaccurate MSNBC and CNN etc., it is almost impossible to have a conversation with them on current events. They only know what those outlets tell them and believe every word, regardless how poorly the story matches what really happened. They never listen to independent reporting and refuse to believe any report not wildly leftist in nature. It is this kind of indoctrination that leaves them completely unaware of life as it is really unfolding. And imagine the freedom their elected representatives feel! All their mistakes will be buried, and all their speeches, however uninspired, will be praised. Being a Democrat has a lot of advantages!

All we can do with the many unfortunates that I refer to above is tell them “our truth” also known as “the truth” and hope that some real news manages to filter through their defenses!

Did you hear about retail sales “unexpectedly” falling in December? Get used to the media struggling to find new ways to express “unexpectedly” because Biden is doing the exact opposite of what President Trump did. And he will get the exact opposite of what President Trump got. With the opening of our borders and the rush of cheap labor, gone will be the wage increases seen during the Trump years! And don’t be surprised if the upcoming stimulus checks are less stimulating than in the past. As many as can afford it will be putting that money in the bank as job security dries up and wages go down.

Our best bet for now is to make sure our local officials, particularly sheriffs, are independent and ready to make sure we do not lose our freedoms. And we need to keep fresh the memory of our two senators, Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, voting against us by voting to accept the fraudulent vote from all the contested states! See you next week.
