Marian Inez Sherrell Lowery, 76, of Sparta, passed away July 30, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Marian was born April 25, 1946, in Sparta, to William Orvil Sherrell and Lillian Troglen Sherrell.
She was a former Red Kap employee. She was a longtime active member of North Sparta Church of God. She loved to listen to gospel music, most notably the Gaithers. The thing in life that made her the happiest was being with her family, especially with her grandson, Dustin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby, Wayne, Tommy, Lolly, Bruce, and Tina.
Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Louann Green, of Sparta; grandson, Dustin Green, of Sparta; sister, Delores Ann Davis, of Sparta; brothers, Jerry (Anna) Sherrell, of Michigan, Chuck Sherrell; four-legged friend, Gracie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Marian's cremation, A memorial service will be 1 p.m., August 5, 2022, at Hunter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Aug. 5, at the funeral home. Dustin Green will officiate.
