Mary Jeanette Cloyd Deason, 73, a McMinnville resident and White County native, passed away July 21, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 30, 1947.
Ms. Deason was a retired employee with Genlyte Thomas Group, in Sparta, and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Willie Mae and Walter Lowery, and father Haston Cloyd.
Ms. Deason is survived by her companion, James Sherrell, of McMinnville; son, Darron (Carrie) Sherrell, of McMinnville; daughter, Shannon Gannon, of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Kacie Looper (Kyle White), Seth Looper (Cydnie West), Ethan Cantrell, Caylie Sherrell, Wesley Sherrell, Chase Gannon; three great-grandchildren, Kylan Moore, Khloe White, Kyson White; sisters, Faye Judkins, Sue Broyles, Linda Cantrell, Diane Thompson, all of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be noon, July 24, 2021, at High Funeral Home Chapel, in McMinnville, with burial in Plainview Cemetery, in White County. Jason Brown will officiate. Visitation will 3-9 p.m., July 23, and 10 a.m.-noon, July 24, at the funeral home.
