Mary Loretta Dodson Bassett, 62, of Hillsboro and a native of Sparta/White County, passed away June 15, 2024, at her residence.
Mary was born March 25, 1962, in Sparta, to William and Reba LaFever Dodson.
She was a 32-year employee of Federal Mogul. She loved fishing, but she loved being Nana to her grandchildren the most.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Bethel Patton and Mike Patton.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 24 years, Tony Bassett of Hillsboro; daughter, Reba Patterson (Kyle Winnett); son, Steven (Heather) Young; grandchildren, Brycen Patterson, Kenzlie Frasier, Caysen Patterson, Isabelle Winnett, Kailey Young, Skylar Young; mother-in-law, Carolyn Bearden; and sister-in-law, Sheila McConnell.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., June 22, 2024, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Jericho Cemetery. Carl Seibers and Chad Nelson will officiate. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m., June 22, at the funeral home.
