Gracie Meadow considering career in criminal justice

Posted

Gracie Meadow, a sophomore at White County High School, has always been interested in helping others, and she may have found a future doing just that through her program of study.

Meadows, who holds a 4.0 grade point average, is a part of the White County High School’s criminal justice program and has the distinction of being part of the school’s first-ever Cyber Security class held in collaboration with Tennessee Technological University.

“I have always had an interest in doing something that helps people, and I thought it would be an exciting course to take,” Meadows said.

Through her involvement in the high school’s criminal justice program, Meadows has become interested in a couple of possible future career paths.

“I would like to go into the criminal justice field,” the high school sophomore said. “I’m thinking either a lawyer or some type of criminal investigator.”

In addition to being a top scholar, Meadows is also a member of White County’s Beta Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well as being a member of the White County Warriorette cheerleading team.

“Gracie is driven to succeed,” Ann Jones, a mathematics teacher at WCHS, said, “and she’s lots of fun to have in class.”

While Meadows is focused on her future and on helping others, she is still taking time to enjoy all that high school life has to offer, saying that her favorite thing about WCHS is all of the opportunities to meet new people and hang out with friends – both old and new.
