This week marked a significant milestone as yet another graduating class walked across the stage to receive their diplomas, marking the culmination of their high school journey. On behalf of the city of Sparta, I extend heartfelt congratulations to each and every graduate on this remarkable achievement.
As our graduates stand at the crossroads of their futures, they face a myriad of decisions regarding further education, entering the workforce, or even volunteering for military service to serve our country. May God bless each of you abundantly as you embark on this new chapter in your lives.
On a lighter note, I am thrilled to extend an invitation to everyone to join us this Saturday, May 18th, at 5 p.m., at Liberty Square, for our annual Sock Hop Concert and Cruise-in. The concert is free of charge, featuring fantastic music, delicious food options, and even a hula hoop contest to add some fun to the evening. During the cruise-in, you’ll have the opportunity to admire a stunning array of classic vehicles.
The Four on the Floor Band will be delighting us with their renditions of timeless hits, ensuring an evening of nostalgia and entertainment. So, mark your calendars and make plans to join us for this unforgettable concert. Don’t forget to bring along a chair for your comfort as you sit back, relax, and enjoy the music.
We look forward to seeing you there on Saturday night for what promises to be an evening of music, laughter, and community spirit.
Be safe out there, finish strong.
