Minute with the Mayor

It is that time of year where the city will continue our road paving project.  We are excited to continue to keep our roads updated. It is our goal to provide good roads for our community. Each year, the road list is updated. Our team evaluates each road and grades it on how many issues we have on that road.

We also look at the sewer and water lines underground and make sure we have updated those areas before we pave the street above our lines.  We feel that if we update what is under the road, then hopefully we will not have to dig new pavement up to repair in a year or two.

Here is the list of roads that will be paved this year:

• Cook Street
• Flatt Street
• Gaines Street
• Gillen Drive
• Highland Drive (partial)
• Love Street
• Morningside Drive
• North Avenue
• Oakland Drive
• Roberts Street
• Town Creek Street
• Walker Street
• West Bronson
• West College
• West Everett

This list is not in any order, we will pave the roads and move across town as needed.  I will do everything I can to keep you informed of the areas of construction as the crews move across our town.
