Motlow hosts coloring contest for all fifth graders

Posted

Motlow State Sparta Advisory Board launched a coloring contest for White County students as a way to encourage elementary youth to begin thinking about higher education.

A coloring page, designed by Motlow State Community College, was provided to all fifth-grade students in each of White County’s six elementary schools. Students used time in their weekly guidance class to color the sheets, while learning about the many career paths and educational opportunities that are available at Motlow’s Sparta Campus.

The contest was held in collaboration with Motlow State Community College and the College Advisory Partnership, the foundation that supports the Sparta campus.

A first-place winner was chosen from each school, and those students received $25 as well as Motlow state memorabilia. In addition, each school announced a second and third place winner, and they each received memorabilia from Motlow as well.
