Money will offset expenses not covered by Tennessee Promise

Motlow Sparta’s Advisory Board is hosting its first-ever Fall Fundraiser to raise money that will benefit the many students who attend the facility of higher learning.

“We always have the golf tournament fundraiser in the spring, but we wanted to provide an opportunity in the fall for the community to get involved with helping these students,” board member Bobby Officer said.

The fundraiser, which Officer said he hopes becomes an annual event, will be held from 5-9:30 p.m., Oct. 23, 2021, at White County’s Northfield Vineyards and will consist of live music by The Connection Band and dinner cooked over an open fire by Town Creek Chuck Wagon,

“The money raised will go to what scholarships the Tennessee Promise doesn’t cover,” Officer said. “Things like books, uniforms for students in the EMT Program, equipment that students need for their technical training.”

Officer said monies from previous fundraisers have also gone to provide benches and spaces for students to utilize between classes.

Tickets for the event are $30 for an individual, but there are also sponsorship levels available as well.

  • Individual Sponsor: $50 (Includes Banner)
  • Table Sponsor: $300 (Provided a Table for 8 persons)
  • Silver Sponsor: $500 (Banner and Table for 8)
  • Gold Sponsor: $1,000 (Banner, Table for 8, and Multiple Media Mentions)

“This is going to be a casual event where people can come, have dinner, enjoy some music and some time with their friends,” Officer said, adding that the dress-code is casual.

For tickets or to become an event sponsor, call the Motlow Sparta Campus at (931) 837-3341 or call First National Bank, in Sparta, at (931) 739-8326 or stop by their location on Sam Walton Drive.
