Nancy Joan Poteet Eller, 76, of Leesburg, Georgia, a native of White County, passed May 4, 2025, at her residence.

Nancy was born Feb. 21, 1949, In Sparta, to David Lee and Treva Gene Sims Poteet.

Nancy was the embodiment of a true homemaker. Her love of flowers led her to commercially grow daylilies and allowed her to travel around the country sharing her expertise. In fact, her gorgeous garden was a stop on the 2010 National Tour.  In addition, Nancy raised Boxer puppies and was a three-time show champion in that field. She was an avid Lady Vols basketball fan and a dedicated member of the Church of Christ. Above all, her greatest love was being Grandma for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Jane Webb and Dr. Marilyn Poteet-Langford.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Don Eller, of Leesburg, Georgia; daughter, Jessica Michelle Walker and husband A.J., of Sevierville, Donald Jared Eller (Shana Ramsey), of Leesburg, Georgia; grandchildren, Jasey Saylor, Jonathan Holt; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was 1 p.m., May 2, 2025, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Big Springs Cemetery. John Lawson officiated.

Jack Langford, A.J. Walker, Stephen Burish, Jared Eller, Jonathan Holt, and David Sigler served as pallbearers.

Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
