One Region helps WCMS

The White County Middle School Warrior Bucks Reward Program allows students to earn "bucks" by exhibiting positive behaviors.

One Region recently became a part of this worthwhile program. The donation will fund rewards that students can use to make purchases. Such as, every four weeks, students can use their bucks for drawings. The school gives away gift cards and other free items. Students can also use their bucks during the week to get a slushy at snack time.

"The hope is that we can change the climate of our school by focusing on the positive rather than always punishing the negative," said  Sara Halliburton, seventh grade teacher and a member of the positive behavior team at WCMS.

One Region, a local High Speed Internet Provider, is a new business in White County. Nathaniel Day, owner, is a lifelong resident and attended WCMS himself.

"It feels incredibly rewarding to be in a position to help our school with this beneficial program," said Day. "It is great to see a focus on positivity during these uncertain times.."
