On Jan. 15, 2023, at approximately 8:03 p.m., Sparta-White County Rescue Squad was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash, with a person trapped, at the intersection of Memorial Highway and Gooseneck Road
Upon arrival all victims had been freed, and some cribbing was used to stabilize one vehicle. (Cribbing is a temporary wooden structure used to support heavy objects during construction, relocation, vehicle extrication, and urban search and rescue.)
Rescue squad members would like to thank Doyle Volunteer Fire Department for their advanced efforts of making access to the trapped patient.
Also assisting at the scene were White County Emergency Medical Service, White County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Critical Incident Response Team, and Edmonds Wrecker Service.
