Rescue squad extricates victim from one-vehicle crash

On Jan. 24, 2023, at approximately 10:26 a.m., Sparta-White County Rescue Squad was dispatched a one-vehicle collision at Memorial Highway and Levon Sparkman Road. According to Charlie Tollison, assistant chief and public information officer, rescue used a chainsaw and hydraulic extrication tools to free the driver from the vehicle.

Assisting at the scene were Sparta-White County Rescue Squad, White County Office of Emergency Management, Doyle Volunteer Fire Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, White County Sheriff’s Office, and White County Emergency Medical Service.
