Paul Douglas Payne, 77, of Sparta, passed away July 24, 2021, in Cookeville.
Mr. Payne was born Nov. 26, 1943, to Helon and Julia Payne.
He was a member of Bon Air Methodist Church for many years. Mr. Payne served with the Army National Guard.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Payne was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Payne.
Surviving family includes his brother, Fred Payne, of Southgate, Michigan; nephews, Fred Payne, of Washington state, Ed Payne, of Washington state, Robert Creeach, of Sparta; and other nephews as well as nieces.
