Funeral service for Bro. Paul M. Wilmoth, 77, of Sparta, will be noon, April 7, 2021, at Northeast Church of Christ, in Cookeville. Bro. David Hill, Bro. Kerry Duke and Bro. Glenn B. Ramsey will officiate. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery.

His family will receive friends 10 a.m.-noon, on April 7, at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilmoth passed away April 5, 2021, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 18, 1944, in Algood, to Perry Morgan and Shelia Robbins Wilmoth. He retired, in 2006, from the Post Office, at Tennessee Tech University, after 40 years of service.

Mr. Wilmoth was a kind, humble, generous, and devoted minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 60 years. He had been a member of Northeast Church of Christ for nearly 38 years and had served as a minister at the church. He earned a bachelor’s degree in religious education from Tennessee Bible College and had served as an Instructor of Preaching at the College for the past decade.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Joy Bowman.

Mr. Wilmoth is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shirley Sparkman Wilmoth; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and David Isaac, of Gainesboro, Christy and Jason Brown, of Cookeville, Sherri and Chris Sparkman, Kristy and Greg Sims; his grandchildren who he absolutely loved, Jeremy and Billy Wray, Colten and Ella Grace Brown, Gabe and Luke Sparkman, Jordan Dodson, Nick Sims, Makayla England; six great- grandchildren, Aiden Carr, Riley Wray, Alexandria Wray, Jeremy Wray, Jr., Madison Wray, Rylan Wray; and a brother, Carl Wilmoth.

Derrick Stiles, Clark Sims, Justin Newell, Ernie Cavendar, Mike Wheeler, and Greg Strong will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to the Tennessee Bible College, 1616 McCulley Rd., Cookeville, Tennessee 38506.
