Rainer Rudi Wolff, 73, of Hudson, Florida, passed away June 17, 2020, in Sparta, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, with his family by his side.

Mr. Wolff was born Dec. 19, 1946, in Stuttgart, Germany, to Walter M. and Elfriede Wolff.

He moved to Enon, Ohio, at the age of 12, with his family. He became an American citizen and proudly served in the United States Army. Mr. Wolff was a graduate of Clark Technical, in Springfield, Ohio, as a civil engineer and became a surveyor for the county of Montgomery, Ohio. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and boating, and, with a private pilot license, he enjoyed flying gliders.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Christie Wolff; one brother, Werner (Renate) Wolff, of Germany; two nephews, Thorgar, Arvid; one niece, Ragna; two grandchildren, Kaylee (Kiel) Ramsey, Cayd Snodgrass; one great-grandson, Calvin Ramsey; and two special dogs, Jessica and Max.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one of the following: Avalon Hospice, in Cookeville; White County Animal Shelter, in Sparta; or American Lyme Disease Foundation, 157 Church St., 19th floor, New Haven, Connecticut 06510.
