Cassie Brown, White County High School alumna and majorette, presented her former band director, Roger Mills, with a donation to help with expenses for the band’s trip to the Outback Bowl. The Outback Bowl is an annual college football bowl game played at Raymond James Stadium, in Tampa, Florida, usually on New Year's Day. Brown is employed for Raymond James, in Cookeville, which makes her donation even more special.

Brown stated, “Marching band was a big part of my life. I have made a lot of friends and memories over the years that I credit to my baton twirling days. The WCHS band continues to grow and do amazing things. It is exciting to support them and see them go all the way to the Outback Bowl at Raymond James Stadium this year."
