Register for Leisure Services softball by March 26

COOKEVILLE - Just one week remains to register for Cookeville Leisure Services’ spring adult co-ed softball leagues.

Team rosters and fees are due by March 26.

“We are excited to have softball back,” Seth Bruton, Leisure Services athletic superintendent, said. “And with it, we have made some enhancements that we hope will bring back past players and draw in some new participants.”

Church league teams will play Monday evenings beginning April 5, and co-ed recreation league teams will play Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning April 6 at Cane Creek SportsPlex, 2200 W. Jackson St.

Team format will be seven of one gender and three of the other. Players must be at least 18 years old.

“This is an opportunity to get together with teammates, enjoy the game and sharpen your softball skills,” Bruton said.

A coaches meeting is scheduled for March 30 at 6 p.m. at Cane Creek Gymnasium, 180 CC Camp Road.
