Ride to the Sky an event for all cycling skill levels

Calling bicyclists of all levels! The annual Ride to the Sky is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022.

The cycling event will include 10 mile, 36 mile, 62 mile and 100-mile route options. After completing a route, cyclists will enjoy lunch and local craft brews. Proceeds from the event benefit Carmen’s Fund free CPR education program.

The 2022 Ride to the Sky routes will primarily follow the Crazy George route from Cookeville to Granville, then Gainesboro to Dodson Branch, then Rickman to Thorn Gap and finally to Stamps Shady Grove and back.

The event will begin and conclude adjacent to Red Silo Brewing Company, 118 W 1st St, Cookeville TN 38501.

“The Ride is a great experience and offers something for all skill levels,” said Chris Wakefield, Ride to the Sky committee chairman. 

First Horizon, Tennessee Heart, and REI are presenting the 2022 Ride to the Sky. Additional event co-sponsors include Caney Fork Cycles, Red Silo, Outdoor Experience, Monterey Foods, Dana Looper Law, and Wakefield Venture Group.

Tickets for the ride are $50 per person and include snacks, lunch and ride t-shirt if registered by the end of August. Participants of the 10-mile route receive a $10 discount. To register as a cyclist, view routes, or for more information please visit www.RideToTheSky.org
