Robert Charles Evans, 61, of Sparta, passed away Sept, 6, 2021, at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital, in Sparta.
Mr. Evans was born April 27, 1960, in Tallahassee, Florida, to Jim and Virginia G. Evans.
Mr. Evans proudly served in the United States Air Force for 15 years. He was a Ham Radio enthusiast. He spent his time programming computers, riding his motorcycle, gardening, and working on the land.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Evans, and a brother, James Christopher Evans.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Barbara King Evans, of Sparta; daughter, Barbara DeAnne Evans, of El Paso, Texas; son, Robert Charles Evans II (Natasha), of Manhattan, Kansas; grandchildren, Elijah Reising, Harper Evans, and grandson soon expected, Cian A. Evans; mother, Virginia G. Evans, of Charleston, South Carolina; and sisters, Virginia E. Evans and Laura Wallace, both of Spencer.
Funeral service will be noon, Sept. 10, 2021, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 10 a.m.-noon, at the funeral home.
