Robert Eugene Hall, 76, of Sparta, passed April 4, 2024, at his

Robert was born Oct. 9, 1947, in New Hope, Pennsylvania, to William “Bill” Eugene Hall and Hazel Venoy Cannon Hall.

Robert served as a lieutenant and training officer for Sparta Police Department for 43 years. With a self-taught knowledge of computers, he founded RH Computer Systems, in the early 1990s. Robert was a past member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star, as well as a member of Ole Bethel Baptist Church for 32 years. In addition, he was a motorcycle enthusiast and active member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Sarah Evelene Cagle Hall, who died April 26, 2008, and half-sister, Carol Emeigh.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hall; son, Steven Hall and wife Kelly; daughter, Jennifer Wheeler and husband Michael; grandchildren, Ryan Wheeler, Cameron Wheeler, Candice Woody, Dillon Wilbanks, Anna Wilbanks; and numerous extended family members and church family.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., April 11, 2024, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the funeral home. Jerry Barnwell and Jeff Randolph will officiate.

Mike Norris, Dillon Wilbanks, Ryan Wheeler, Roy Halms, Brad Norris, and Jeff Hutson will as pallbearers.

 Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Motorcycle Association.
