It is with great sorrow that his family announces the passing of Robert Ossian Rohlander, age 91. He was at home surrounded by family and friends, on June 15, 2021. He was born May 17, 1930.

Bob was an accountant by trade. He retired after 41 years from Wagner Lighting as plant manager and then worked for 15 years for UPS. He proudly served his country for 20 years in the National Guard. He enjoyed golf, tennis, bowling, and spent many happy hours in his vegetable garden and loved his cat, T.C.

Bob enjoyed beating everyone at ping-pong and cornhole. He also enjoyed reminiscing the past through photographs and compiling many photo albums. He and Patty Kay loved traveling yearly to their favorite storytelling festival, in Jonesboro, Tennessee. They raised their family in church, scoured many antique shops, and read hundreds of books together.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Kay Rohlander, on March 15, 2021, and parents Ossian and Edith Rohlander.

He is survived by his sister Doris Robbins; children, Robert( Donna) Rohlander, Evelin Rohlander (Clint) Havens, Lillith Kay Rohlander (Patrick) King, Matthew James (Libby) Rohlander; granddaughters, Samantha Rohlander Wissman, Sydney Warren, Kathryn Dawn Rohlander, Madison King, Ashlyn Rohlander; and great-grandson Keegan Wissman.

The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m., June 17, 2021, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 4 p.m., June 17, at the funeral home. Barry Vinson will officiate.
