Roberts-Matthews Highway Bridge over Post Oak Creek will be intermittently closed

The Roberts-Matthews Highway Bridge over Post Oak Creek will be intermittently closed or reduced to one lane beginning Monday, May 16, 2022, through Friday, May 27, 2022, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., CST. This closure or lane reduction is necessary so engineering crews can begin geotechnical investigation of the site in preparation for the bridge’s replacement at a later date.
During complete closure periods, Roberts-Matthews Highway will be closed north of Farley Road and South of North Cookeville Lane. Highway 111 will be marked as a detour route around the bridge during times of complete closure. The contractor will work to minimize the amount of time the bridge is completely closed to traffic. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the area as this work is taking place and to pay close attention to detour signage.
