Seibers is focused on class work, music, and leadership

James Seibers just finished his sophomore year at White County High School and is boasting a 4.0 grade point average in the school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program of study.

“James Seibers is one of the most remarkable students I have known at WCHS. He is a young student beyond his years. His mature candor, sharp intelligence, aged wisdom, instant humor, and brilliant enthusiasm elevate him in the eyes of his teachers. If I didn’t know better, I would have mistook him for a dignified gentleman of the 1900s playing the role of a 2020s high school student,” Jason Crockett, one of Seibers’s teachers at White County High School, said.  “James has certainly faced more than his fair share of challenges - and he continues to navigate them like a leader, more capable than some adults I know. It is a privilege to be his teacher.”

Seibers, who is the son of James and the late Lavina Seibers, is a member of the BETA Club and was recently elected as the incoming junior class secretary. He is also a part of the award-winning WCHS Band. Seibers participated in the Festival of Winds and Percussion at Tennessee Tech University and received recognition as a part of Honors Band for Mid-State.

When he isn’t working on his class work or music, Seibers enjoys reading, where he prefers books in the horror and anthology genres, or studying anything history related.
