On Jan. 14, 2023, Sparta-White County Rescue Squad was requested by Warren County Rescue Squad to assist with a search operation at Rock Island State Park. Rescue responded with a boat that has a bottom and side-scan sonar to help look for the missing. Saturday and Sunday were both non-productive, and rescue squad member will be returning Jan. 16 to assist with the search operation.
