Thomas Edward "Ed" Harris, 77, of Sparta, passed Nov. 14, 2020, at Hospice of Chattanooga.
Mr. Harris was born Jan. 28, 1943, in Sparta.
He took much pride in his work as a drywall finisher and painter. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish. However, his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren who were the beneficiaries of his great hugs. Mr. Harris was a member of Family Harvest Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Harris; mother, Ola Mae Vittatoe Harris Marshall; and brother Ronald Harris.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sandra Harris; three daughters, Teresa Randolph and husband Doug, Angela "Cricket" Nichols, Mindy Copeland and husband Tony; grandchildren, Kendal Acton, Ashley Sanders, J.T. Randolph, Clinton Harville, Beth Killmon, Haley Judkins, Kerrie Copeland, Ally Henegar, Dylan Copeland, Mallie Copeland; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Nov. 18, 2020, at Hunter Funeral, with burial in Plainview Cemetery, in the Cassville Community. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m., Nov. 18, at the funeral home. Justin McCulley will officiate.
J.T. Randolph, Dylan Copeland, Japheth Henegar, Michael Guy, Cory Judkins, and Jeremy Sanders will serve the family as pallbearers.

Mr. Harris’ register book is now available in the parlor of Hunter Funeral Home for friends who are not comfortable in a crowd.
