The Veterans Service Office, Veterans Museum of White County, and American Legion Post #99 will be hosting a Veterans Day Parade and Program, on Nov. 11.

The parade, which will travel from White County High School to the American Legion Building, will begin at 10 a.m., with lineup starting at 9 a.m.  At the conclusion of the parade, there will be a program to honor White County’s veterans. The program, which will feature music by Gene Hodge as well as the White County High School Choir and will include guest speakers, will take place at Metcalf Park adjacent to the American Legion Building.

At the conclusion of the program, the Veterans Museum will be open from noon until 1 p.m. for guests to walk through and experience the veteran heritage of White County. In addition, there will be food available to purchase for those who would like to spend some time visiting on Liberty Square and talking with White County veterans who may be in attendance.

In case of inclement weather, a condensed program will take place in the American Legion Building’s Liberty Hall.

For more information about either the parade or the program, the public is encouraged to call the Veterans Service Office at (931) 836-3593.
