Virginia Carolyn McCormick, 79, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 17th.

She was born on December 29, 1943, in Sparta, Tennessee to Luther and Virginia Frazer.

Carolyn McCormick was a God-fearing Virtuous Woman. (Proverbs 31)

Everyone who came into contact with her was touched by her… To know her was to love her.  She was a lifetime member at Bear Cove Baptist Church where she taught the children, whom she lovingly referred to as “The Little Tikes”, and sang in the choir. Her kind and generous spirit was greatly admired, and her gentleness adored by her family. She was a devoted wife to Bill McCormick, a loving mother to her sons, DeWain and Shaun McCormick, a perfect mother-in-law to Shaun’s wife, Ginger McCormick and precious grandmother to their son, Joshua McCormick and DeWain’s son, Luke.

She will be greatly missed but her loving example and devout Christian faith is the priceless legacy she is leaving behind. We will see and join her again in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Proverbs 31:10-12, 25-31

“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life…

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household   and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”

Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
