Walter Clayton Cady, 81, of Quebeck, passed away Dec. 5, 2024.
Walter was born April 19, 1943, in Rochester, New York, to Clayton Briggs Cady and Emma Leona Allen Cady.
He grew up on the family farm, in Spencerport, New York. He graduated high school, in 1962, and served four years in the United States Navy. He retired from Eastman Kodak Co., in Rochester, New York, after more than 30 years. Walter was a member of First Baptist Church of Sparta over 20 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Jean Louise Cady, and sister-in-law, Nancy Steger.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary Cady; son, Brian (Tammy Fisher) Cady; daughter, Kristen (Darryl) Willams; stepson, James (Ngoc Kieu) Alderson; stepdaughter, Krystal (David Nacco) Alderson; grandchildren, Brian Cady Jr., Victoria Cady, Claire Hensley, Carly Hensley, Jaysn Polito, Colin Nacco, Kayley and Vivienna Alderson; several great-grandchildren; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy and George Steger; and brother-in-law, George (Christine) Steger.
In honor of Walter’s life, donations can be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Research Foundation.
Walter’s wishes were to be cremated. No services are scheduled at this time.
