Basketball season has officially arrived.

White County High School Warriors and Warriorettes take the court in the annual Hall of Fame games allowed by the TSSAA.

On Nov. 21, the Warriors and Warriorettes will host Hixson. On Nov. 22, the teams will host McMinn County.  Both nights’ games will be played in the friendly confines of Roy Sewell Gymnasium.  The Warriorettes are slated to begin at 6 p.m., on both nights.

Coach Eric Mitchell and Coach Michael Dodgen commented about the season and games starting.

“I am excited  and a bit anxious to get the season started,” said Mitchell.  “We still have some things to improve upon. Hopefully these early games will help us work out some areas of need, and, by February, we can have everything in line and make a strong postseason run.

Dodgen also commented on the start of the season.

“We are excited about starting the 2019-2020 season on Thursday night against Hixson and Friday night against McMinn County,” said Dodgen.  “We still have some major things we need to work on and must continue to get better each night.  We need to achieve every day of the season to reach the major goal at the end of the day.

Both coaches expressed how thankful they are for the fans and student body that come out and support the Warriors and Warriorettes.
