Warriors defeat Wildcats in second game of the season

Posted

The White County Warriors took the court, on Nov. 19, for their second game of the season as they took on the Tullahoma Wildcats. Both teams got off to a slow start offensively before Thomas Paul started to heat up for the Warriors.  Jake Davis hit a deep 3 toward the end of the first quarter and helped give the Warriors the lead 14-12 heading into the second.

Tripp Pinion played with the same intensity and effort on the hardwood that he displayed on the football field this year. He ended up with 10 rebounds for the game, often outmuscling much larger guys in the paint. The Warriors heated up from 3 in the second quarter and led the Wildcats 26-21 at halftime.

The Warriors played aggressively in the third quarter and extended their lead to 44-27 going into the fourth.  They continued to roll in the final quarter to pull away to a 60-27 victory.

Pinion had a double-double with 15 points to go along with his 10 rebounds.  Thomas Paul added 15 points of his own.  Jake Davis and Thomas Brock were also in double figures as Davis had 11 points and Brock had 10.
