On Feb. 22, 2023, the White County High School JROTC conducted a hard-fought Cadet of the Month selection board. Competing Cadets were selected by their respective Cadet Chain of Command and approved by the JROTC Instructors to be allowed to compete. Cadets were graded on several areas to include uniform inspection, individual drill, and answering Cadet knowledge questions.
The Cadet of the Month winner for First-Year Cadet is Cadet Sgt. Malachi Young. Cadet Young is an active member of the JROTC Drill Team and serves as a Team Leader in Charlie Company. Cadet Young has a bright future in the WCHS JROTC.
Cadet Sgt. First Class Elijah Price won Cadet of the Month for the Second-Year Cadet. This is the second time Cadet Price has won Cadet of the Month. Both Cadets are outstanding examples of the best the WCHS JROTC has to offer.
