Warriors, Warriorettes defeat CAK in Hall of Fame game

 In the second of two Hall of Fame games that the TSSAA allows each team to compete in, the Warriors and Warriorettes defeated Christian Academy at Knoxville to move to 2-0 on the season. 

The Warriorettes took to the court first and led at the end of the first quarter by five points.  The Warriorettes took charge of the game in the second quarter by outscoring CAK 23-9 to take a lead into the half. The Warriorettes continued to outscore their opponent in each quarter to win the game 73-39.

The Warriorettes hit 28 of 58 shots for a shooting percentage of 48 percent from the field.  They were eight of nine from the free-throw line for an 89 percent average.  Morgan Quick, Gracie Dodgen, and Nia Powers led, with five rebounds each.  Addison Frazier led the Warriorette offense, with 11 assists. 

The Warriors defeated a good CAK team by a score of 87-70. 

The Warriors found themselves down early by nine points and fought back to win the game with some great defensive pressure and a strong offensive game from Grant Slatten and Kade Clark. 

The Warriors shot 30 of 58 from the field for a shooting percentage of 52 percent.  They outrebounded CAK 34-28 and shot 82 percent from the free throw stripe by hitting 22 of 27 shots.
