WCTE Blues and Brews 2020 is going virtual

Posted

WCTE is continuing the long-standing tradition of Blues and Brews. This year WCTE is collaborating with more businesses and breweries than ever to make Blues and Brews be as safe as possible.

In this new format for WCTE Blues and Brews, each ticket holder will receive a mixed six-pack of craft beer from Budweiser and Cherokee Distributing.  Also included in each six-pack is an “adventure pass" –a mixed assortment of coupons to various participating restaurants. At each of the participating restaurants or breweries, the coupon can be redeemed for a glass of one of the three featured beers at each location. WCTE is collaborating with various locations like Seven Senses, Bert Driver Nursery, and many more locations around the Upper Cumberland.  WCTE is also helping host a blues night at Red Silo Brewery. For more details about blues night keep up with WCTE.org

You must be 21 or older to buy tickets to this event. Tickets are on sale now until the end of the event, Nov. 7. Coupons are valid from Oct. 1-Nov. 7. Visit https://www.wcte.org/events/brews/ for more information and to purchase tickets.

Additionally WCTE will be hosting two Zoom calls known as ‘Meet the Brewers’. The first Zoom session is with the Home Brewers Association. The home brewers will discuss the appeal and practice of the art of beer making. The second Zoom call will be with various craft beer brewers and national brewers. This will be a question and answer call all in the comfort of your own home.

Tickets are available now until Nov. 7. You can purchase your tickets today at https://www.wcte.org/events/brews/

Blues & Brews is a major fundraiser for WCTE with all proceeds benefiting the local PBS station. This year is the most adventurous year yet for Blues and Brews. Participants will be able to travel to previously unexplored areas of the Upper Cumberland to enjoy nice cold ale.

We hope that people will consider this NEW and engaging opportunity to support WCTE PBS." says Avery Hutchins "The virtual event offers a variety of beer sampling, adventure, and virtual learning."
