YMCA powerlifting practice

From Sparta-White County YMCA: On March 15, at YMCA powerlifting practice, some of our Special Olympic Athletes were presented Adidas bags from the Y so they can carry their competition equipment in style.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. At the Y, we believe that people with developmental disabilities are essential to our community and deserve equal opportunity and multiple avenues for self-expression.

This month, and every month, the Y is proud to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through multiple outreach program that gives individuals with disabilities access to classes and activities that develop and encourage self-sufficiency, socialization and staying active.
