Tennessee Homeless Awareness and Prevention Month

November was Tennessee Homeless Awareness and Prevention Month, which coincided with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week that is held each year the week before Thanksgiving. This proclamation is being made to help send a message that it is time to end homelessness and implore everyone to get involved.
Not only is there a concentrated effort to end homelessness for everyone, there is a special national push to end veteran homelessness by the end of this year and the chronically homeless by the end of 2016.
If you would like to help, reach out to local agencies that are already in the fight against homelessness. If you are in a community where the homeless have nowhere to turn and you have resources or time to help, please contact Homeless Advocacy for Rural Tennessee at www.hartn.org.”
