Theron L. Davis

Theron L. Davis, 90, passed away Aug. 28, 2019, at his home in Walling.
Born in White County, on Oct. 6, 1928, he was the son of Ardree Theron and Pauline Sparkman Davis.
He was a farmer and a retired school teacher with the McMinnville City and Warren County school systems. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, of Korea, and a member of the Walling Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Davis leaves his wife of 68 years, Mildred “Midge” Davis; two daughters, Paula (Mark) Prater, of McMinnville, Susan (Ben) Tyree, of Brentwood; five granddaughters, Andrea (Travis) Jones, of Walling, Tracy (Gary) Baggett, of Brentwood, Allison (Matt) Brown, of Brentwood, Amanda (Dustin) Curtis, of McMinnville, Virginia (Lucas) Majors, of Lebanon; and five great-grandchildren, Anna, Ava, and Theron Jesse Jones, Mia Baggett, and Grayson Brown.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Aug. 30, 2019, at High Funeral Home Chapel, in McMinnville, with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, in White County. James Rittenberry, Herschel Wells, and Richard Mason officiated.
Memorial donations may be made to Boyd Christian School, in McMinnville.
High Funeral Home, in McMinnville, was in charge of arrangements.
