Walter David “W. D.” White, 86, of the Shady Grove community, passed from this earthly life to his heavenly home, on April 24, 2015, at Highlands Medical Center.
Mr. White was born June 28, 1928, in White County, Floyd White and Bertha Holladay White.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Floyd White; a sister, Frances Day; and a son-in-law, Mark Morris.
He was a life-long farmer, member of the Shady Grove Methodist Church, and a member of several community organizations.
Mr. White is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ruth C. Luna White, of the Shady Grove community; nieces and nephews, Jean and Jim McFall, Frank and Toni Day, Joyce Morris, Janet and Dewayne Steward, Linda and David Orr, Keith Luna; several great nieces and great nephews; several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and special friends, Tim and Jean Hauk and family.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., April 27, 2015, at the Shady Grove Methodist Church. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., April 26, at the funeral home, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m., April 27, at the church. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Bro. Ron Dyer and Bro. Larry Campbell will officiate.
